Most of time you know the service quality from the time you enter. But they come out to excellent in both food and service. I think Parivar fill that gap, Last night we visited there are normal sunday night dinner with not so much expectation. ![]() There is no real place with good service, good food and bargain prices. I can't wait to go back.North brunswick area is full of indian restaurants and most of them are just ok and most of them with exception of Udipi and Indigo have average or below average or really bad service. Not like the quickly thrown together ones from a mix that you often find. The sambar was excellent with fresh vegetables and a nice flavor. It was just the right amount of food for us. We had the Chicken in Chettinad spices, a black pepper cauliflower, something called Kuni Puliyaram (delicious) all dishes from the appetizer menu and a plain dosa and shared it all. ![]() Our waiter made recommendations when we asked and was very nice. The wait staff is not friendly but very professional and efficient. The restaurant, while not anything fancy, is clean and comfortable. The spice level at Arusuvai is not toned down and absolutely delicious. I really like the spices used in Chettinad food and the fact that seafood has a greater presence. Since I like to have a bit of protein and my son needs some meat on his plate, we loved that Arusuvai has both. I do love a good Masala Dosa which is from the South but most dosa places are small, unclean and only serve vegetarian food. ![]() I am Indian and rarely go out for Indian food as it's typically Americanized versions of Punjabi food.
